50% Off Select Pottery

There’s a load of new pots cruising down the highway and headed our way. We need to clear some space to put them, so we’ve gathered up a bunch of pots from what’s in stock and put them on sale. If you’ve been looking for some larger-sized plant containers, be sure to check out this special. You’ll save up to 50% off.

New Plants!

Be sure to drop by soon for a spirit-lifting stroll through the garden department. A couple more deliveries have just arrived with enormous quantities of gorgeous new plants.

One plant that arrived in a bit greater numbers than we had planned is Creeping Lily Turf (Liriope spicata). This member of the Asparagus family is fast spreading and helps control erosion. It’s evergreen, grows up to 1-1/2 feet tall and does well under shallow rooted trees and along streams and ponds. It even tolerates deer. And as a bonus, it sends up spikes of pale lavender flowers in late summer.

These plants are regularly priced at $8.99, but until their numbers thin out, when you buy one, we’ll give you a second absolutely free.

P. S. Liriope is pronounced luh-rahy-uh-pee and was named for the mythological Greek nymph who was the mother of Narcissus.

Care For Air Plants

The genus Tillandsia is a unique group of plants. Often referred to as “Air Plants,” they are epiphytes of the American subtropics and tropics. In their natural habitat, they are found growing in trees, on rocks, bark, and mossy surfaces. They have little or no roots and absorb nearly all their nutrients through their leaves.

Tillandsia are easily grown in the house in bright filtered light and medium-warm conditions. Watering can be done by misting the plants 2 or 3 times a week or by submerging them in room temperature water for about 10 minutes each week.

You’ll find a new assortment of these little wonders in the indoor plant area happily awaiting your arrival.
