National Indoor Plant Week is a week-long celebration of the perfect indoor air cleaner. And we who live along the west coast, are all now very aware of how important it is to have clean air to breathe!
Annually celebrated the third week in September, National Indoor Plant Week was established to promote and increase public awareness of the importance of live plants in interior spaces.
Studies have shown that plants can knock out stress by calming the sympathetic nervous system, and can also make people feel happier. More research shows spending time around nature has a positive effect on a person’s mood and energy levels.
So when you are ready to once again take a deep breath, be sure to think about your indoor plants. They might look like they are just sitting there, but they are hard at work making your life healthier and happier.
